Yellowfin

$1,200.00

12x24, Acrylic & Ink on Maple Panel, Black Walnut Frame, 2025

This piece centers on a yellowfin tuna—sleek, powerful, and built for endless motion—set against a hand-drawn, cellular pattern that echoes currents, reefs, and unseen systems beneath the surface. The fish is rendered with careful realism, while the surrounding pattern slows the eye, creating a tension between speed and stillness.

Painted in ancrylic and layered with detailed hand drawing, the work reflects my ongoing interest in balance: wildness and order, instinct and design. The custom walnut floating frame is built by hand and finished to complement the warmth of the palette, giving the piece a sense of containment without restricting its energy.

A study of movement, craftsmanship, and the quiet reverence found in the natural world.
