Custom Surf Van Art for 4x4 Sprinter

Custom Surf Van Art for 4x4 Sprinter

After years of creating adventure and surf van/vehicle drawings, I am stoked to see one at scale on the outside of Reform Life's sprinter van.  Like many of my surf van drawings, each panel on the vehicle has a different pattern, breaking up the natural design of the van and creating a unique but natural aesthetic.      This surf van has adventured both coastlines and has discovered many waves from outside its windows. On the inside, it is a cozy surf shack with warm wooden ceilings, light walls, dark cabinets, and walnut finishes. It also has an original drawing on...

Vintage Camera Art Drawing Featuring Duke Kahanamoku

Vintage Camera Art Drawing Featuring Duke Kahanamoku

I have always had a great appreciation for vintage cameras. The way they look, the thought that went into design. The way they feel when you hold them, a bit heavy, you are holding a serious piece of equipment. I like the work that goes into taking a picture with an old film camera. Manually focusing, winding the film, adjusting all the settings. I love all of it.  This new piece was inspired by the camera that my mom used the whole time I was growing up. So many childhood memories and experiences were captured with this old Nikon EL2....

Limited Edition VW Bus Art for Yosemite Climbers & Lovers

As a visual artist and prior VW bus owner, I have always been drawn to the aesthetic of classic Volkswagen buses and Westfalia camper vans.  Photo by Chris Burkard  And if you are reading this, I'd guess you like the VW bus too.  The simple aesthetic and functionality of the VW bus is one for the ages. An old VW Bus art advertisement puts it best, “Buy this van, get a camper free.” To this day, the VW Bus’ size and functionality is unmatched. It has become the true icon of freedom and adventure for 50 years. More than a car… the adventure mobile. The van...

Surfboard Wall Racks Crafted for Surf Shacks

Surfboard Wall Racks Crafted for Surf Shacks

After searching for wall mounted surfboard racks and finding an abundance of low cost, generic surfboard wall racks, I decided to create my own surf rack. My goal was simple, to create a timeless design that was fit for surf shacks, refined like a hand shaped surfboard and adaptable for a variety of shapes and sizes.

Hotel Art Installation at Monsaraz in Point Loma

Hotel Art Installation at Monsaraz in Point Loma

One my most recent projects that I am so excited about is my largest painting yet. I had the incredible opportunity to paint a large scale piece for the entrance of a new hotel and restaurant in Point Loma, CA called the Monsaraz and Westerly Public House.  The painting is a mosaic of 13 thick gallery-wrapped canvases that stretch out over 16 feet long.

Walnut Surf Racks at Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch

Walnut Surf Racks at Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch

I initially started making surfboard wall racks because I couldn't find one beautiful enough to display in my home. Little did I know I was not the only one who was searching for something to artfully display my surfboards. Now, years and hundreds of surfboard wall racks later I'm honored to announce their use throughout Kelly Slater's legendary Surf Ranch in Lenmoore, California.  The interior designs for the Surf Ranch were completed by our friend, Raili Co. Design who specializes in surf homes and surf shacks. Raili included our walnut surfboard wall racks throughout the ranch (as she does on many of her projects) to add to...
