7.5" x 22" Ink on Maple Panel, Walnut frame.
This drawing is loosely based on my first surfboard. It was a 6'8" Rick pintail from the mid 70's. When I first started surfing I knew nothing about surfboards and I found this used board that was in amazing condition. It turned out to be decidedly uncool to all my friends at the time because everyone was riding small potato chip thrusters. Unfortunately I ended up selling the board to get a "cool" board. What a big mistake that was! I would love to have that board again.
