Drawing inspiration from the iconic VW bus, the Daily Driver embodies the spirit of California’s beach culture. This quintessential California beach car is not just a vehicle; it’s a symbol of freedom, adventure, and a laid-back lifestyle. Set against an oceanic view through the windshield, complete with a soaring seabird, this piece invites viewers to imagine their own journey down sunlit coastal roads.

The artwork is meticulously crafted in a two-step process. In this piece the bus was first drawn digitally and then printed onto a birch panel. Next the foundational colors of the ocean are then painted, capturing the vibrant blues of the sea. Then, the pelican in flight was added. The intricate, hand-drawn details are layered transforming it into a mosaic of textures and patterns that evoke movement, energy, and nostalgia. These patterns echo the diversity of California’s landscapes, from sandy shores to rugged cliffs.
